Flush Hunts
Flush Hunts are available as Guided or Self-Guided and Half or Full day hunts, by advanced booking only. Guided Flush Hunts are available in half and full day. There is a minimum of 1 Hunter and a maximum of 4 hunters. There is a choice of 4 Pheasant or 8 Chukka or 12 Quail that can be a Straight Shoot or Mixed Bag. Your hunt will be guided by one of our experienced dog handlers and his seasoned dog(s) with a choice of hunting locations that offer a variety of cover and terrain.
Self-Guided Flush Hunts are half-day hunts that are available for hunters with their own dogs and are limited to one or two hunters, self-guided. There is a 4 Pheasant, 8 Chukka or 12 Quail minimum per Hunter; extra birds are available upon request for an additional fee. We can also provide dog kennels when dogs are not working.
We offer a morning hunt that starts at 9:00 A.M. and an afternoon hunt that starts at 1:00 p.m. All hunters will meet at the lodge to sign in first.
British Hunt
The British Hunt is exclusively for Pheasants and is an adaptation of an authentic British style hunt where the Pheasants are pressed to fly over the hunters and provide challenging shots. This unique hunt is laid out in a semicircle with 7 stations with 2 hunters at each station. There are 8 Pheasants released per hunter and 12 released at each rotation. A rotation being where you advance to a different station to your left so that each hunter rotates through all of the stations. The Pheasants will be evenly divided among the hunters and the bird cleaning is included in the price.
British Hunts will be held every Saturday beginning in January, weather and shooters permitting. Sundays are used as a make-up day if needed.
Clays & Feathers
Our most favored package. It's done in cooperation with Etowah Valley Sporting Clays located at 619 Sporting Hill Drive in Dawsonville, GA. This package is available Wednesday- Sunday with holiday exceptions. The outing starts at 10:00 am at Etowah Valley Sporting Clays Park where you will be treated to 50 Clay targets on seven stations with a Clays Cart included in the round. There is a 2 person minimum for this hunt.
The targets will be flying similar to the birds you will be hunting in the afternoon. The Clay Shoot is followed by lunch with your Guide for the afternoon Hunt; he will cover some of the finer points of the Hunt. After lunch it’s straight to the field for an afternoon of Upland Hunting for birds of your choosing. It is a short wait after the Hunt while your birds are professionally cleaned. (optional).
Extreme Quail Hunt
This is a guided only hunt with a minimum of 2 hunters and a maximum number of 4 hunters. Quail only, no mixed bags of birds. 24 quail per hunter. Price does not include guide tip or bird cleaning.
